MacBride Museum is a fun, interactive and educational museum that highlights the overall history of the Yukon. Our exhibit themes include Early Whitehorse, Natural History of Yukon, the Gold Rush, Yukon First Nations and North West Mounted Police.
MacBride Museum is located on Whitehorse’s scenic waterfront at the corner of Wood Street and 1st Avenue.
Summer Hours (May 16 to August 31):

Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Fall Hours (September):
Daily 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Winter Hours (October to mid-May):

Dänojà Zho’s award winning architecture interprets the traditional housing and the fish drying racks that were once a feature of the waterfront surrounding present day Dawson City.
The Hammerstone Gallery explores the heritage of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and the events of the last one hundred years from the First Nation perspective. The Hammerstone Gallery display includes archaeological artifacts, reproductions of tools, costumes, and life sized photographs. This exhibit gives a voice to the memories and the stories of the Elders.
There are guided tours daily of the Hammerstone Gallery, audiovisual presentations, dance performances, a gift shop, special events and cultural demonstrations.
The Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre is open daily from late May to late September. The Centre is open in the winter for heritage events and programs and by appointment for tours.
