The Cherokee Trail

This path was covered with tears from the start,

Weeping for the life of a great nation torn apart.Ripped and scattered from our mother land,

A proud people, the Cherokee Clans.

Each step took them farther from their beloved home.

Wiping tears from their faces while hearts turned to stone.

The future stolen by the white men’s lies,

On this journey we call the trail where they cried…
